Aoibheann O'Sullivan produced the first documentary about Abahlali, a 16 minute film, back in 2005. You can watch "Kennedy Road and the Councillor" by clicking here.
For raw footage of the 3 December 2006 protest against the NGO take over of the Social Movements Indaba shot by Antonios Vradis click here. Fazel Khan and Sally Gilles also have many hours of footgage from the 2005 meeting and Khan and Vradis are working on a film about Abahlali and the SMI.
Also, check Giles and Khan's 21 minute documentary - Breyani and the Councillor - and these clips from local news.

Giles and Khan's most recent film is Nayager Falls, Abahlali Rises, and it's available below. This version doesn't include the wonderful footage of the release of the Kennedy 6 (on bail) but that will be added soon. Since this march on Nayager there has been a marked improvement in the behaviour of the Sydenham police.
Ben Cashdan, South Africa's acclaimed documentarist, has made a film for the Open Democracy Advice Centre about Abahlali baseMjondolo's attempts to find out what the city has in store for them. Watch all three parts of the video here.
NEW: Click here, to watch Dear Mandela at YouTube, a six minute film by the lovely people at Sleeping Giant Films, 17 February 2008, or click on the 'play button below to watch it here. (You can also click here to watch a slightly longer version at YouTube.)
